Once your appointment is confirmed, we look forward to meeting you in person to assess your repair needs on a case-by-case basis. During this consultation, we will evaluate whether the piece can be repaired to meet Jackson Jewelers' high standards and provide you with an approximate cost estimate.

We offer two appointment options: one for items purchased at Jackson Jewelers and another for items purchased elsewhere. NOTE- If the option for items not purchased with us is inactive, it means we are currently unable to accept outside repairs at this point in time.

 Our Basic Services Include:

  • Ring Sizing: Adjust your ring to the perfect size for a comfortable fit.
  • Jewelry Cleaning and Polishing: Restore the shine and brilliance of your jewelry.
  • Ring Shank Replacement: Replace worn or damaged ring shanks for enhanced durability.
  • Stone Tightening and Replacement: Ensure gemstones are secure, and replace any lost stones.
  • Prong Tightening and Retipping: Reinforce and repair prongs to keep your stones secure.
  • Center Crown Replacement: Replace worn or damaged center crowns that hold your main stone securely. Our diamond setters are highly skilled, ensuring precise and careful resetting of your center stone.
  • Rhodium Plating: Renew the bright white finish of your white gold jewelry with rhodium plating.

While we strive to assist with all repair requests, there are times when a repair may not be possible due to the age or quality of the piece. In such cases, we will discuss alternative solutions with you. Our custom department often specializes in recreating older or poorly constructed pieces, ensuring they meet our high standards for quality and durability. For items with significant damage that may require remaking or recreating, our Jewelry Restoration appointments offer the perfect solution. We can transform cherished family heirlooms into modern, contemporary designs by removing stones and resetting them into a completely new piece or by making alterations that go beyond standard repairs.

Expert Services Include:

  • Restoration Services: From cracked or broken rings to missing prongs or stones, our expert jewelers provide restoration services to bring your jewelry back to its original beauty. We assess your piece and provide a detailed estimate for any necessary repairs.
  • Remake Services: Jackson Jewelers can offer a full remake of your jewelry item for a slightly higher fee than a restoration. The benefit of a complete remake is that your jewelry will essentially be "like new," giving it many more years of wear. This is especially popular for older or heirloom pieces that need extra care and attention. Ask your Jackson Jewelers team member about remaking your piece.
  • Custom Open and Close Shanks for Enlarged Knuckles: In partnership with Cliq, Jackson Jewelers offers a custom hinge band solution for clients experiencing difficulty wearing rings due to enlarged knuckles. This innovative design allows for a comfortable, secure fit, and we will evaluate whether this solution is right for you.

Repair Turnaround Time

For most repairs, the typical turnaround time is 2-4 weeks. You will receive a text or call when your repair is complete. If additional time is needed or the piece requires the expertise of one of our designers, we will notify you in advance. At Jackson Jewelers, we pride ourselves on treating each piece with the utmost care and ensuring it receives our stamp of approval.

Jackson Jewelers Limited Jewelry Repair Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our repair work. If any issues arise within the specified warranty period of 50 days and are unrelated to normal wear and tear, we will address them at no additional charge. Jackson Jewelers reserve the right to explain why or why not an item may be covered under our limited Jewelry repair warranty. 

 

Can Jewelry Be Repaired to "Like New" Condition?

The quick answer is not always. While Jackson Jewelers will repair your jewelry item the best of our ability, some items may not be restored to "like new" condition. As jewelry ages, its ability to be repaired diminishes. When we agree to repair your piece, we are not guaranteeing it will be restored to "Like New" or "Better-than-new" condition, but we will ensure it is repaired to the best condition the item will allow.

 

Understanding Wear and Tear

Normal wear and tear refers to the natural degradation of jewelry over time with regular use, similar to the way tire tread wears down from driving. As jewelry is worn and handled, it naturally experiences some degradation, which requires occasional maintenance or repairs to ensure it remains the best condition possible. Avoiding doing upkeep when the jeweler recommends can result in loss of stones or worse, loss of an item. 

 Factors Influencing Wear and Tear:

  • Occasional Wear: Jewelry worn occasionally for special events may preserve its condition for longer periods.
  • Everyday Use: Daily wear, especially during activities that put additional stress on the piece, may result in more frequent maintenance needs.
